Oculus founder and president Cynthia Hayes is a nationally-recognized leader in the retirement and wealth management marketplace, with over 30 years of experience as an innovative business executive.
Named a top “Thinker” by 401K Wire and one of the “Top 5 Most Important Women in the 401(k) Industry,” Cynthia started Oculus Partners following her retirement as Managing Director with Merrill Lynch’s Retirement Group in 2008.
Prior to her retirement from Merrill Lynch, Cynthia held senior positions in business line management, sales, marketing, and operations, driving business. product and marketing strategy. She also was responsible for retirement investment platforms, institutional integrated benefits, equity awards services, and small business retirement.
She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) and founding member of The Society of Professional Asset-Managers and Recordkeepers (SPARK), an inter-industry professional association servicing mutual fund companies, banks, insurance companies, investment advisors, third party administration, recordkeepers and benefit consulting firms in the retirement plan industry.
In just over 10 years, Cynthia has built Oculus Partners to include a broad network of highly-experienced consultants and over 35 clients across the financial services industry, with many of whom we have established ongoing relationships.
She has shaped Oculus’ culture based on a desire to help employees create balance in their lives while serving their passion to do good things for clients.
